Literature Text

Over the day, with Fletcher's notes and lecture, had Norah learned more then she possible could known about the werewolves. Their ways of living was strikingly similar to vampires, just a bit more… open with their savagery.
However, even if many questions had been answered, many remains, and even more questions was born from the answers.  Made her far more curious, almost an obsession of thinking, and it helped Norah forgetting her pain and hunger, her own misery.
Suddenly she got flickered hard in the forehead and she squeaked in surprised with a hand against her forehead.
"You are not focusing Mouse…" Ace sighed and shook his head. Even inside his eyes was hidden behind the sunglasses, as he didn't rely too much on his sight anyways. As well didn't he break a sweat, even if the severe beating and training he had gone through, unlike her that had a thin layer of sweat over her face, panting for air.
"Sorry, I'm… just tired."
"You are unbelievable, tired already."
"Well, sorry for not being a werewolf on steroids like you."  Snapped she back at him and turned around on shaky legs and left the room. She might be a vampire, hiding everything behind a cold emotionless mask, but he could feel it, the smell of her feelings.
Anger, sorrow, loneliness, pain, just a cauldron of dark negative feelings that was like a heavy mist around her. He knew them all too well, yet, he couldn't act any different, showing any sympathy, even if he tried.
More he didn't really knew how to show it.
"Damn she is annoying." Sighed Ace and slowly turned around, seeing a new group of werewolves standing there, five in total. "Oh, you're back with your dogs Barack?"
The biggest among them, a dark-skinned man, bold with many scars along his head and face, packed of muscles and even the difference of size between them, Ace didn't flinch.
"Big words from a small pup." Like the rest of Barack, was his voice deep and dark in an unnatural matter, flexing his muscles a bit to prove his strength. A fight was in the air, dense like floor they was standing on.
"I was wondering when you would show up… Anni-Bell sent you I presume."
Only a laughter was heard from the group, as the first fist hit Ace in the stomach, throwing him of his feet. It felt like his inside had burst and shattered his ribs, and probably had it done so.
"Sure, Anni-Bell sent us to… punish you a bit. But don't think other than this is a pleasure." Growled Barack and slowly pulled Ace up with a hand around his neck. "For so long have I wanted to break that smug of yours, hearing you beg for mercy… Let's have a deal, if you so much raise a fist against us, that scrawny bat-bitch will get next in line."
"You can try." Couched Ace while Barack laughed. "We will… Who will break first, your pride or our fists?"

Blood was spilled and bones shattered as the group severely beat up Ace, who never punched back.
No one interfered, no one dared and had the right to it, the mentally of Barack and his group was strong enough to be a pack of their own.
Ace didn't belong to any pack, hence was he a free kill.
"What a mess, I really hate that guy…" muttered a dark clothed woman that walked into the big room with Fletcher close behind and pulled of her backpack and throw it to the redheaded werewolf. "Hold my shit Andy."
"I-i-its Fletcher."
"Sure thing Fred."
A rather depressed look shaded his eyes as he looked over at Ace, and closed his eyes over the sight. The hood fell down as the woman walked towards them, revealing long dark-blond hair and browngreen eyes, glowing of intensity, a lust of power and battle.
Just as Barack raised his fist once again, the females fingers grabbed around his wrist with a grip like iron. Angrily he turned around, growling that silenced when he recognized her.
"Victoria. Why do you interfere, this hasn't nothing to do with you."
"Vicky."
"Huh?"
Suddenly, with a flick of her wrist, the man double her size was sent through the air and into the wall with a large bang. "I hate that name." muttered Vicky and looked at the others. "Are you bitches next in line?"
They only growled as they quickly moved to help Barack up and left the hall, clearly with their tails between their legs.
Quickly Fletcher ran to Ace to help him, just to get showed away by him. "Why did you interfere…" Ace was slurring and grimaced in pain as he painfully stood up.
"It was Gary who said that you were getting killed. Look like he exaggerated a bit." She glared at Fletcher that felt rather small between those two werewolves.
"B-but they would! And it's Fletcher…"
"Just shut up with your whining Dylan."
Ace only turned his back to them and limped across the room, before stopping only for a moment, slurring a word before he walked on.
"I never thought I would hear him say thanks. What an annoying guy." Groaned Vicky and took her backpack from Fletcher. "Never understand what that old hag sees in him…"
Fletcher looked at her, a bit red around his cheeks. "Yeah, uhm, well…" Would you go out with me?
It sounded in his mind, but never took shape in words as she turned around. "Oi, you clean up the mess Lars."
"O-okay."
Pain ached through Ace body, even with a werewolves superior regeneration power it hurt like hell and it would still take hours before he had healed through this beating, and now he just wanted to rest.
However, as he entered his apartment, he could hear the shower going, and more through it, Norah crying.
First his instincts was to knock and talk to her, but his hand only rested on the bathroom door, hearing her painful sorrow, hurting more than any beating he got today; couldn't he find any words.
He clenched his jaw hard, felt angrier at himself, not knowing why and slowly he turned around and left her alone in the apartment. If she saw him now, she would blame herself even more. At least could he spare her from that.

As soon Norah was alone, the tears came. Always holding it all back, tried to lock everything in inside her heart.
However, how big a heart ever was, the emotions would always be bigger; crushing that defense she tried to up hold. Yet she tried to hide it from the others, no, from Ace. Already had he put up so much for her, even over those few days they had known each other.
The hunger that made her weak, made her suffer unbearable much.
The sorrow of her parents that had been taken from her.
The pain of her life being ripped apart and stolen.
As she stood in the shower, it all tore her heart apart and she couldn't hold back the tears anymore, even if she tried. However, it sometimes was best to let the tears out, and not holding it all back.
The tears left an cold emptiness afterward, even with the hot water running along her pale and bruised skin never got her warm, it just made her realize more that a monster she was now.
"Pull yourself together Norah." She mumbled as she turned off the shower and laughed quietly as she looked at the mirror. "God, I look horrible…"
A quiet sigh left her pale lips as she dried herself and pulled on some cloths, way to big guy cloths, Ace's cloths.
His smell lingered in the cloths, made them feel warmer and for a moment she just stood there smelling his shirt before she blinked and blushed. "What the heck am I doing?" Norah pulled ran a hand through the tasseled wet black hair as she walked out from the bathroom, still blushing.
Luckily Ace wasn't back; as well did it make her wonder why he was gone for so long.
An hour went, and she had started to clean the apartment.
Another hour and she sat and carefully tried to play on the guitar, just to hear horrible tunes on it.
Three, four and five hours, still no Ace, and now she actually started to get worry as it suddenly knocked and with a bright smile she rushed to the door, to slow in as her hand touch the handle.
Who was it? Ace would never knock.
"Who is it?" asked she quietly through the door.
"It's Fletcher, are Ace there?"
As soon she recognized his voice, she opened the door to see the somewhat nervous young man look at her. "No, haven't seen him since I left the training."
"Shit, he was severely beaten, thought he was here resting."
Norah blinked here eyes.
"What do you mean Fletcher? Severely beaten?"
"He---"
"Is fine." Interrupted Ace as he shoved Fletcher aside and almost walked over Norah into the apartment like no care in the world.
"Ah, but Ace, you---" The door slammed in Fletcher's face as Ace growled a bit and walked into the living room and sank down on the coach.
"Don't worry Fletcher, I take care of him." Said Norah through the door, hearing a gurgling from the other side. Ouch, must had hit pretty hard.
The vampire woman walked towards the werewolf and crossed her arms over the chest.
"And what was this 'severely beaten' that Fletcher was talking about?" asked she a high tone, demanding an answer. However, he just waved his hand at her.
"None of your business pipsqueak." As a afterthought he looked around and then on her. "Why the hell is it so clean here; and why do you wear my clothes?"
"Because I needed to do something, and I can't go around naked."
"Not my problem. Off with them, that is my favorite shirt."
She blushed angrily as she glared at him, and hugged herself harder. "You pervert dog, and here I got somewhat worried for you." Snapped she angrily and turned around, leaving him alone in the apartment with a slamming door behind.
Ace sighed as he grimaced with a hand against his side, feeling the wound open up again.
"Nice play hotshot…"
