Haigara is a special jouning from Iwagakure (Or ash village, depending on the setting, which is created by NerdicWriter ). Born blind in a small clan, was she constantly under the protection of her older brother. The family, the clan, worked mainly within coal-mines and heat-work, so Haigara was used to run around in the darkness and the dirt. When her brother started in a ninja-academy, just to be something else then just a miner like their parents, did she decide that she wanted the same.

But she was blind, how could she become a ninja? She didn't see it, but she felt it when her brother trained. In secret, did she train by her own, deep in the mines. She learned slowly to infuse charcoal with her chakra, manipulating it and slowly she learned to manipulate even the finest ashes. So one morning, when she took courage to her, did she walk to the school. Many was surprised over the small dirty girl that held a big piece of charcoal in her hands, asking nervously and shyly for a teacher or something that could make her a student there. 
She got to meet the headmaster, and she showed him what she could do. Impressed by her, that she even learned it by herself, did he assign her to the school.

Later years, and Haigara have become a special jounin; she use two tanks on her back to pump out ashes when needed; she use dust and ashes to 'feel and see' around her, making her incredible hard to sneak up on. Her lack of strength and speed is draging her down though she is an insanely good and skilled user of ninjutsu and genjutsu.

The unique colored skin is duo ashes be in her pigments; it's her last armor as well resource to use in battle. Under the skin, is she of darker skin like most of her family.

She is inspired by Garaa (her name is pure coincidence since Haigara means Ashes, and is more a nickname she gotten herself rather than her real name), where she manipulate ashes, soot, grime and coal. Depending on what she use, can she use it for difference areas. Her skin is in a different color duo the ash and soot in her pigments (Yes, I've worked in a place where I handled lots of soot, you get black by it as it enters in the spores of your skin. Really crappy thing and take ages to wash away. :c ), though she use it like a last armor as well resources to use ashes. 

As obvious, ain't she built or dressed for a fast or agile shinobi; she is rather clumsy. She is instead someone that stand in one place rooted, with limited movement and attack with hot ash ninjutsus and genjutsus. And without her armor, is she incredible fragile, she can't take much damage head on. As for clothes, doesn't she care how she is dressed; it's simply cover up to be simply 'modest' among people, as the soot and ashes in her skin keep her covered and warm.

On a note, she hate cold.
