Blood Bound

"What is this I hear Kojira! You finally did some good and got a kid?" It was a large man, with hair like drawn steel, and eyes like teal eyes. Scars covered the large man as he stepped into the room and with a loud laughter smacked the much smaller Kojira in the back so the man fell forward.
"Ouch, take it easy big guy, you know I have a weak spine." Kojira laughed a bit as the other helped him up. "Sorry, just got happy to hear the good news!"
"I'm happy to see you hear as well Tetsui." Both men, leaders of their clans, hugged each other as brothers and laughed. "Yes yes, but now, show me the little one!"
"Oh dear, you should be a bit more quiet." The captain of Division 4, Hanami Sakura, or the Queen of Bust as Tetsui usually called her, looked out the door with a gentle smile.
"Can... I go and see them?" It was the second time Tetsui had seen his life-long friend nervous. First time was on the day he married Mai.
"You can dear." Sakura smiled as she stepped a side, to let Kojira into the room. In a bed rested Mai, his wife, with the smallest infent at her chest. She was tired, worn and sweaty after a long and hard birth, but the smile was the most beautiful he had seen. When she looked up, was it a mother smiling with teary eyes. "Look at our daughter Kojira." she said quietly as the little girl sleept quiet.
"She is so beautiful." Kojira sank on his knees, his voice trembled as much as his hands as he carefully took the smallest of hands in his, and kissed Mai.
"Excuse me." Kojira looked to see Bob, a young girl that was just her early teens that moved a bucket of water with a smile. "Sorry for that."

"Did Bob-chan help you?" Tetsui scratch his beard and looked at Sakura that nodded with a smile. "She is young, but she loves children and always want to help when it comes to delivering childrens."
"I see. To sadly she is a Butoukai." His eyes rested on the small dark skinned female that tried to be in the background of the family as she cleaned in the room. "Does she know... that her chance of getting children herself is... very low?"
Very low was positive thinking, considering the demise of the Butoukai bloodline.
"I think she already know that, the poor child." Sakura had a sad smile on her lips as she looked at Bob. The young females face was happy as she looked at Kojira and Mai with their daughter. But also sad, jealous. She knew the chance of her being there, in the same situation, probably was non existing.
"Sorry to bring that up Sakura-taichou, I know it hurts you as well." Tetsui grunted a bit and sighed. Sakura put a hand on the large mans shoulder and smiled. "Don't worry dear. And your daughter is here?"
Sakura looked at the small girl behind the man. Short messy hair, flat and dressed in lose clothes, would many mistake Sonja for a boy. Even if only ten, was she a sharp swordswoman, that could fight even the lower ranks seated in his own division.
"Oh, yes, I forgot! Sonja, come here." He smiled as he put a hand behind Sonja's back and gently pushed her into the room as he walked in.

"Oh, yes, I forgot." Kojira, repeating exact same sentence as his friend laughed dumbfounded as he saw Sonja looking a bit serious at him.
Slowly he stood up and took a more serious posture and expression. "Samuke Sonja, do you swear to me, Kagesaki Kojiro, by your blood and honor, to protect and serve the Kagesaki family?"
"Yes." answered the young girl with a steady voice, making her oath that been between Kagesaki and Samuke for many generations.
"You will by the guardian of my daughter, Kagesaki..." He suddenly became quiet and looked at Mai and their daughter. "We haven't given her a name yet."
"Oh, it been so much now that we haven't been able to think of it." Mai smiled a bit and frowned. "But she need a name, something that will reflect her."
"Mika."
Everyone in the room turned around and looked surprised at  Bob that held a couple of towels. She blushed a bit and looked down a bit. "Ah, sorry, you said a name that would reflect her so..."
"Mika... Beautiful and intelligent..." Mai smiled and looked at the little girl. "Yes, Mika. That is her name."
"Thank you Bob-chan." Kojira said with Bob smiling big and bowed. "Happy to help!"
Kojira chuckled and looked at Sonja. "Then let us continue. You will be the guardian of my daughter, Kagesaki Mika. Your bond will be bound by blood." he said and took a knife that made just the smallest cut on Mika's finger, that didn't wake up by it, just so a drop of blood was visible.
Sonja held her hand to the infants, her own covered in blood. "By blood we are bound." she said and stood on shaking legs.
"Sonja!? You were only ment to cut your hand! Sakura, get in here!" growled Tetsui and took his daughter in his arms. Instead of cutting her hand as normal, had she cut herself in the chest, over her heart. The ceremony was finished under a mess, but it ended happily.

"Mika-san, pick up the sword again." Sonja pointed at the bamboo sword that was on the ground with the ten year old Mika spouting. "It's not fair, you are like two times bigger then me, and strong like an ox!"
"And you will meet enemies that is much stronger and bigger then me." The gray haired replied and leaned the sword against her shoulder. "You are the oldest child of Kojira-dono, that means that you will one day lead your clan."
"But it's not fair, how can I fight someone like you?" Mika complained as she stood up and held the bamboo sword again. Sonja smiled a bit, there was a strong will in her eyes. She herself was a bit older now, in her later teens and this days it was visible she was a woman. Sonja didn't like it, how big her chest had started to become, even if she used bandage over them did they become a bit of a hindrance. And not to mention the scare over her breast and heart itched.
Suddenly had Mika attacked, surprised Sonja that had been thinking of other things and with a cry had both the girls fallen to the ground. Mika straddled Sonja's stomach with the sword in the ground beside Sonja's head.
"I... I won! Ha!" Mika laughed while Sonja blinked surprised and then smiled. "Yes, you did."
Mika grinned and still sat on Sonja and looked at her chest, pulling a bit of the kimono. "That scar... how did you get it?" She asked curious while Sonja smiled. "I got it when I promised to protect a special person."
"Really? Who?"
"You will learn it someday."
"Aww, come on, tell me, I won!"
